I`ll marry & be a good dad: Salman

I`ll marry & be a good dad: SalmanSalman Khan says period dramas usually give the impression that people in past eras never used to laugh, but promises that his new movie "Veer" will have its light moments. "We haven`t followed the regular format. This has emotion, drama and comedy unlike other period films, which always casts an impression that no one used to laugh in those days," Salman told IANS in an interview. "The language has undergone a huge change. The dialogues are in contemporary language but would show that people of that time used to speak and behave like this," he added. "Veer", slated to release Jan 22, is a story of bravery, treachery and love. The story revolves around the 18th century Pindaris who preferred death to dishonour and fought to their last breath to save their land. Salman plays the lead role. Throwing light on how his co-star Zarine Khan joined the cast, Salman said: "The film is of a different genre, so we needed a young fresh look. More than that we needed somebody with a yesteryear look. How our grandmothers and great grandmothers used to look, we needed someone like them. "Just two weeks were left to start the film and we didn`t have anyone who would fit the role. We were searching left, right and centre and met her by coincidence on the set of Subhash Ghai`s `Yuvvraaj`." Salman denies any resemblance between Zarine and his girlfriend Katrina Kaif. "Except being fair and having a sharp nose, I don`t see any similarity between them. Give god that credit for not making two people identical," said Salman. The film`s story has been written by Salman himself and while scripting it he was scared whether his father Salim Khan, a noted writer, would approve. "I showed the story to my father and the biggest fear was what is he going to say. But he said it`s a good story." When asked why he chose to make a period film now, he said, "I had written the story 20 years ago but at that time it wasn`t possible to make the film. I thought now is the right time to make it, so I did." This is Salman`s second film as a scriptwriter. His first was the 1990 movie "Baghi" and there is a common thread running through both the scripts - the father-son relationship. " `Baghi` showed a good relationship between a father and son, `Veer` does that too. I believe that father and son should be the best of friends. Today, my father and me chat, drink and chill out together. "But if I cross my line, I run away. I stay outdoor for two months. That`s the chemistry they should share. The respect should also be there," said Salman who claims that he could be a good father. "I am not sure how good I would be as a husband, but I believe I would be a good father. One has to get married, I will also get married but haven`t decided when." The actor has been in the industry for more than two decades and has played a variety of roles, worked in various genres and sported different looks. Asked if there was anything particular he looked forward to as an actor, he said, "No yaar. I do whatever comes my way."

Diva Bebo and darling Kat

Diva Bebo and darling KatFate couldn't be more unkind. The similarities between Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are too many to be ignored. To start with they share their initials; they have the same endorsement manager; they share a PR manager. As far as the physical attributes go, again, both are tall, fair and beautiful. So as things stand it is a photo-finish for Bollywood No.1 and No.2 heroine. Kareena is the ruling diva. Katrina is the darling of the masses. But 2009 saw Katz upsurge Bebo by giving two super hits — New York and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. And one average runner De Dana Dan. She also won every popularity poll — be it the sexiest Asian woman or the most desirable girl etc. Of course, the invincible Bebo bounced back. Kareena who lost ground with Kambakht Ishq, Kurbaan and Main Aur Mrs Khanna socked Katz a solid blow when she landed the biggest Bollywood hit of all time — 3 Idiots. She also features on all the award nomination lists. “As we see it today it is hard to choose between Kareena and Katrina,” says trade analyst Taran Adarsh. “They're both neck-to-neck. People here respect talent (Kareena Kapoor) but they also give a lot of importance to Friday numbers (Katrina Kaif). To put in a film fashion, yahan hit hai toh fit hai,” says the trade guru. Now the distance between the No.1 and 2 girls is becoming asphyxiating says a film producer. He adds, “I have signed Katrina for my film... but it could well have been Kareena. However since the hero is Ranbir, I was forced to take Katz. To me both are equal at this point.” Trade sources say Katz's advantage at this point is that she makes a super team with Ranbir Kapoor who is a hot favourite. However, what Kareena has is that she is the darling of the Khans. Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan have given her their unstinted support in 2010. She is likely to team up with the other hottie Imran Khan, too. If Katz has Imtiaz Ali on her side, Bebo has Karan Johar on hers. “Even the endorsements that these two actresses are doing are highly interchangeable. If one has the size zero (Bebo) advantage, the other one has the Barbie Doll (Katz) image in her favour,” says the producer. So give or take — whatever they may say — the distance between Katz and Kareena is too close for comfort.

Katrina's learning Punjabi!

Katrina Kaif’s doing her best to be a desi girl. The actress who has been polishing her Hindi for a while now, recently tried to woo her fans in Bihar by addressing them in Bhojpuri.

The actress did face some flak for her Brit accent. And now we are told that she has even picked up a few lines of Punjabi. That’s not surprising considering the fact, that her co-star is usually some Kapoor or Kumar. Now, we know it’s good to get familiar with the various languages, but it wouldn’t hurt to concentrate on one at time?

Please give me a Award: Katrina Kaif

At the recent press meet to announce the 55th Idea Filmfare Awards 2009 in Mumbai, Katrina Kaif very smartly admitted that winning an award is a great encouragement, however, more than anything she wants her films to win. She expressed her desire to win the award not just once but thrice! Infact she also said that, it is here and Salman who are never awarded. She would also be performing on stage at the Filmfare awards show which will be held on 27 February’10 in Mumbai.

Katrina also displayed her inert goodwill by rooting for other actresses like Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan to win the coveted award. She said, ‘If I had to choose, apart from myself, I would choose Priyanka or Vidya. Kaminey is one of my favourite films. And I loved Vidya in Paa’. Katrina herself is nominated for her performance in New York. The other nominees include Kareena Kapoor (for Kurbaan and 3 Idiots) and Deepika Padukone (for Love Aaj Kal).

Deepika talks on the Ex-Factor

The buzz around b-town is that Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have split despite both the actors keeping mum over it.
After a long time, Deepika spoke about Ranbir rubbishing the rumors that she ever said she would never work with him.

“Completely untrue. I would love to work with Ranbir. And Ranbir is a professional too. These are mere rumours and shouldn’t be entertained.”

Asking the question as why she has not signed any film opposite him, the OSO actress quips, “Ranbir and I have decided that till such time we aren’t offered a script that inspires us, we won’t work together. I am keen to work with him. So is he. We looked great in BACHNA AE HASEENO.”

I still wonder if Ranbir is now the ‘ex-factor’ in Deepika’s life!

Shahid-Anushka kiss ka kissa

Lately whatever news we hear about Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s upcoming flick Badmaash Company is only about kissing scenes.
During one such steamy shot session, director Parmeeth Sethi did not like Shahid-Anushka’s lip-lock and demanded a retake saying, “It was gawky and odd. You guys need to do it again.”

When the technicians were getting ready for the retake, Shahid-Anushka were no where to be seen and only came back after two hours amidst frantic calls from Sethi.
When Sethi inquired about their disappearing act, Shahid-Anushka said, “We had gone to buy some books from a bookstore in Bandra.” to which Sethi asked, “Two hours?”.
A source said, the cast and crew members started to pull their legs and asked them, “Which book had you gone to buy? The Beginner’s Guide To Kissing?”
Whatever they did during the dissapearing act, helped them to give a great smooch shot for the retake.
The source adds, “They kissed quite well. The change was remarkable. In fact, Anushka, who was quite shy when asked to kiss on the first occasion, had turned into a completely new person. Shahid was still a bit shy, though.”
Wonder what was their secret for the great retake.

Arshad Warsi opts out of Golmaal 3

After Sharman Joshi, it's Arshad Warsi who has dropped out of Golmaal 3. It is learnt that after the success of Ishqiya, the actor did not want be part of a multi-starrer and wants to do more solo hero projects where there is scope for performance. Also, he feels that even if he agrees to be part of a multi-starrer, he should be paid well. He apparently asked for Rs 3 crore for the Golmaal sequel.

Arshad, who was part of the first two installments, was not happy with his character in the third. Apart from that, he was also unhappy with the difference in the fees offered to him and the other actors. Director Rohit Shetty is stressed about getting the cast together for the film. As of now, the only actors who have been confirmed are Ajay, Tusshar, Shreyas, Kunal Khemu (in stead of Sharman Joshi), Kareena and Mithun (instead of Paresh Rawal).

Priyanka Chopra will never marry an actor?

Ever since her friendship with Shahid Kapoor has gone awry, there has been a lot of speculation on Priyanka and Shahid's break-up. First of all I do not understand why media and bollywood gossip mills are giving importance to Priyanka -Shahid's friendship...they never openly accepted that they are friendly in the first place or they want to take their friendship one step ahead of friendship some day. But media and gossip mills keep talking about them. Yaar yeh publicity ka zammana hai, tabhi toh as per bollywood khabrie PRIYANKA CHOPRA will never marry an actor. She will marry a sports person or a bussiness tycoon or some one who is loaded with money and is powerful and popular. This person insists that the family is all for a non-actor.

Deols are back

The Deols are back and will be seen together very soon. All three of them - papa Dharmendra and sons Sunny and Bobby - were earlier in a movie called Apne and now they are working on another movie.

The film is Samir Karnik's Yamla Pagla Deewana, which will be shot starting in April. The name might suggest there is plenty of action in the movie, but it is actually a comedy. Bollywood movies today, with their focus on family and light romance, isn't as friendly to the Deol's dhishoom-bhishoom style as it was a decade ago, but they are going to make a go of it with this offbeat film.

Though Dharmendra is an action hero, he was one of Bollywood's finest comic heroes as well, with stellar performances in Chupke Chupke and Sholay.

This film is about Dharmendra and his son Bobby, who are from Varanashi while Sunny lives in Canada and is married to a Canadian. After a decade of marriage, he comes to know about his parents.
“The film is about Sunny's journey into his past and into a culture that he had left behind. We will shoot in Varanasi in April,” says Karnik.

The movie is to be released on Christmas eve, which might give it a safe opening given that Aamir, who also releases on that day, has no film scheduled for release this year.
Sunny says about the movie: “ Yamla Pagla Deewana is a family film but it’s different from our last project Apne which was family drama whereas Yamala Pagla Deewana is out-and-out comedy film with a family touch. I am playing the Canadian character that later on comes to know about his family in India and how I search them out.”"

Akshay Kumar: Perfect Son-in-Law?

Married to Dimple’s elder daughter, Twinkle Khanna, the ma-in-law says Akki pampers her completely.

“You know we are working together in a film called Patiala House. And I was quite worried about working with him because he is such a perfectionist, but he just spoils me! I think in his head, he says ‘it's ma..unko chhod do’ and let me do my own thing,” she says with a smile.

“I totally enjoy being on the sets with him. He is lovely, always checking on me to see if I am comfortable or if I need anything. And even at home, it is a pleasure… he is such a nice man. Genuinely caring and loving,” she adds.

But as much as Akshay loves his mother-in-law, Dimple says these days, she is hiding from him!

“You know my grandson (Aarav) recently won an award. Twinkle and Akshay were not in the country, as he had a doctor’s appointment. So, I was designated to take Aarav to the function. My grandson was so excited that he kept practicing his thank you speech for like 2 days! Of course, I was given instructions to prepare a few lines and speak at the function too.”

“But when he got there on stage, Aarav got nervous and just took his trophy and was about to leave. He just forgot his lines. So, obviously, nani should have spoken na? But guess what! I hadn’t prepared anything either!! And so, I am hiding from my son-in-law these days,” she says with a laugh.

MY NAME IS KHAN smashes records worldwide

Shah Rukh, Karan Johar and Fox come together to rewrite Box Office history as MNIK smashes all previous international box office records to record the highest-ever single opening day collections for a Hindi film worldwide.

Just when the industry believed that 3 Idiots had set records which would be stay for a long time, box office Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan's MY NAME IS KHAN looks set to break it just six weeks later!

Despite having a limited release in Maharashtra, Gujarat and parts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday, MNIK's worldwide box office collections are estimated at Rs. 25 crores for Friday! This is the highest ever collections for a non-holiday Friday in Bollywood history. Trade analysts estimate that it could have easily earned an additional 5-6 crores if it had been released normally across India. With the film playing everywhere across the country from Saturday onwards and given the strong buzz, this number is only expected to grow.

WORLDWIDE RECORDS

On the first day outside India, almost every record for Bollywood films was broken globally. Internationally, it is the biggest International opening day by almost 30% of its closest competitor, 3 Idiots.

UK BOX OFFICE RECORDS

In the UK, MNIK previewed on Thursday with an incredible and#163;123k from 89 sites, 4th in the market place behind Avatar, The Wolfman Previews and Invictus.

In this market, MNIK has broken the record for the biggest GBO preview figure for any Bollywood release. The biggest single day preview figure in the UK was previously KANK with and#163;98k.

The biggest total previews figure was 3 IDIOTS which had 2 days of previews (Wed/Thu) during the Xmas holiday period with and#163;121k. MNIK single day previews are bigger than both days of 3 Idiots put together!

It is expected to be the biggest opening Bollywood film ever in this market by the weekend.

ANZ RECORDS

In Australia, Thursday previews of "MNIK" grossed a very good A$39K (US$34K). The movie is ranked #11 in the market. This is 107% of 3 Idiots Thursday BO.

In New Zealand, opening day took LC$ 13,627 (US$ 9,727). Bollywood films traditionally open on a Friday. The exception is 3 Idiots, against which MNIK has over-performed by 204%.

MIDDLE EAST RECORDS

The film is already 50% higher than any other previous film in Bollywood history with an opening day estimated at USD 300k.

There's a huge demand for additional prints in the existing chains across the Middle East and the print count is expected to increase to around 60 by next week.

Given the strong buzz, the film also will be released in Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Oman and Lebanon in the coming week.

"We are delighted with the performance and audience reactions across demographics," says Vijay Singh, "More so, because this is only phase one of the film release. In addition to the release across 45 countries, MNIK will be rolled out in a phased manner across 25 non-traditional markets from April onwards."

Katrina's sister soon to enter Bollywood

Katrina's sister soon to enter Bollywood
The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute New York may have produced numerous acting talents in Hollywood, but it came to be known in Bollywood, when the scion of Kapoor family, the handsome Ranbir Kapoor, made a scintillating debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Sawariya. Although the film did not do too well, Ranbir's superb acting and tremendous screen presence was noticed and appreciated by one and all and naturally the name of the institute, which prepared him was splashed all over the tinsel town, as Ranbir grabbed almost all the best male debut awards.

So, why are we repeating news that is history? Well, one person who was really impressed with Ranbir and his acting classes in New York is his co-star of Rajkumar Santoshi's upcoming Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Katrina Kaif, and has got her sister Isabelle enrolled at the Lee Starsberg Theatre & Film Institute.

While Katty baby had earlier denied that her sister (a regular on her sets) was joining the industry, but she now admits that Isabelle is interested in joining films after a year or so. And as a result she has enrolled in the acting classes. Katrina also confirms that Isabelle is a good dancer and her weakness, like Katrina, is her fluency in Hindi, which will also be an area to be worked upon, before Isabelle makes her Hindi film debut. Here's a hearty welcome to Isabelle!

Kat to play item girl in Tees Maar Khan

...in Farah Khan's next.Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif is all set to play the role of a wannabe item girl in her next film Tees Maar Khan.
The movie, directed by Farah Khan and produced by her husband Shirish Kunder, will see Kaif pairing opposite Akshay Kumar, his co-star of hits like Namaste London, Welcome, Singh is King and recently released De Dana Dan.
"Yes, Katrina is playing a wannabe item girl in Tees Maar Khan. Beyond that I can't reveal much about her character at this stage," said producer Shirish Kunder.
This is for the first time in her career that Kaif would be enacting the character of an item girl. She has played a supermodel in her debut Boom, a rich heiress in De Dana Dan, a girl next door in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and a married woman with a kid in New York.
Kunder, who has also written the story, said they deliberated quite a lot on the leading lady for the movie before signing the actress.
When asked whether her British background would be coming in handy if she plays one of those NRIs from Southall who wish to make it big in Bollywood, Kunder said "Nothing like that. There isn't any Southall connection to Katrina's character in the film. Instead she came in primarily due to her overall appearance which just fitted in perfectly with the requirement of the character. We were looking for somebody like her and ultimately settled for her only," Kunder said.

Pankaj Kapur is auditioning for his directorial venture Mausam starring his son Shahid Kapoor and is keen on new faces, especially the stars kids. Yesterday, he auditioned Govinda’s daughter Narmada.

In the past, they also screen tested Shatrugan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha, Sharon Prabhakar’s daughter Shazahn Padamsee and now Govinda’s daughter Narmada.

A source reveals, “As per the script, Pankaj Kapur requires a very young face. He has been auditioning several new faces. Recently, he did a screen test with star kids. To start, off he had called Sonakshi Sinha who didn’t make the cut. Next was Shazahn Padamsee, who made her debut in Rocket Singh, but was found to be very expressionless for the role. Yesterday, Govinda’s daughter was giving her screen test for the role at Mehboob Studio where Avinash Gowarikar was doing the photo shoot.”

Since it is vial for Pankaj that the casting is precise, he is expanding his horizons. The source continues, “Pankaj is screen testing outsiders too as he wants the apt girl to star opposite Shahid. All these star kids are newcomers and fall in the age bracket of 20-23.” Govinda’s wife Sunita said, “I am not aware of this. Narmada has gone to the gym.” Narmada, however, claims she wasn’t screen tested for the film. She says, “One of my photographer friends mentioned Mausam and told me about the script but I haven’t been for any screen test.”

Sadly after 3 years on 2013 it faced some issues which made radioBollyFM bound to stop its services. Received lots of mails and letters regarding come back of radio and with the wishes and bless we took another attempt to resume the operation of radioBollyFM on 2014, the www.radiobollyfm.in has been registered and then radioBollyFM resumed its blog service only which is all about bollywood news and gossips on blog.radiobollyfm.in.

It was in plan to resume the most demanded thing that is live radio whenever it's possible.
Now you have a good news from radioBollyFM.

After resuming the blog there's another good news for all the listeners and supporters, your most awaited radio is back now from this Dec. 2015.

Social Apperance: First of all we started the radio and blog with several freely available services whichever was needed to serve the live radio and the blog for it's listeners and viewers, later on we had purchased/hired domain names/servers. So that listeners could enjoy their radio from a clean platform and stay safe.
