Amy Jackson‘s Singh Is Bliing released on 2nd Oct. and while cine-goers take their time coming to a decision whether or not it’s good, let us tell you something about Akshay Kumar’s heroine from the film. Turns out this firangi babe has a lot common with another actress Katrina Kaif! Here are five similarities between Katrina and Amy…



London calling
Both Amy Jackson and Katrina Kaif belong to the United Kingdom, where they were models and actors before coming to India. While Kat was born in Hong Kong, Amy was born in Isle Of Man. Kat made her journey from Hong Kong to Japan to a few Europen countries and finally London and was home-tutored before taking up modelling. Amy on the other hand moved to Liverpool, England where she did her schooling and took up modelling at the age of  eighteen. Both of them were spotted by Indian filmmkers and were called to India for work. While Kat was initially called for modelling assignments, Amy was called to audition for a Tamil film.



Flop start in Bollywood
Both the actors have had flops as their first film in Bollywood. After a great start to her modelling career in India, Kat signed Boom which premeired at Cannes and was even heavily promoted in India, however it tanked at the box office. Similarly after a great first Tamil film Madrasapattinam, Amy starred alongside Prateik Babbar in Ekk Deewana Tha, but the film was not that great and failed at the box office.

Telugu films
After their first flops in Bollywood, both the actresses turned to the South Indian film industry where they both did Telugu films. Amy starred in the Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan-starrer Yevadu, while Kat was seen opposite Venkatesh in Malliswari. Both the films won critical acllaim and both the actresses were praised for their performance.

Akshay connect
Katrina and Akshay go a long way. Both the actors have collaborated on a variety of occasions including their hit-film Singh is Kinng. Aki has always supported Kat during her struggling period and both of them have delivered several huge successful films. Amy Jackson is also in Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bliing and we hear it was Aki who told the makers to take Amy. He has been supporting and helping Amy in every possible way too. So, the Aki factor also connects these two actresses.



Hindi Troubles
Both the actresses, Amy Jackson and Katrina Kaif, are extremely beautiful and talented. However, both these model-turned-actresses have problems while speaking in Hindi. Both of them have a very British accent and that is evident when they deliver dialogues. While Kat has worked hard and learnt Hindi, her Hindi isn’t perfect yet. We can still hear that English accent while she delivers dialogues or at press conferences. Amy also has problems speaking in Hindi, she generally talks in English but when she does attempt to talk in our language, her British accent is quite evident. Like Kat, Amy needs to work on her accent too.

Ileana D’Cruz has bagged a promising role opposite the biggest action star of Asia, Jackie Chan. The role was at first offered to Katrina Kaif but citing dates problem Katrina opted out. The ‘Barfi’ actress has flown to Dubai to shoot the film. The project ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ is directed by Stanley Tong.



This is not the first time Jackie Chan is working with any Bollywood actress. He has earlier worked with Mallika Sherawat in ‘Myth’ but the ‘Murder’ actress only had a small role to play in the film.

Says a source, “Ileana’s role in the movie is lengthier than Mallika’s in The Myth. She will be seen throughout the film.”

Sonu Sood will be seen in the role of a villain. The makers are still on a hunt for a parallel lead with Jackie Chan. Hrithik Roshan had agreed, but opted out at the last minute.

‘Kung Fu Panda’ will be shot in Dubai, Beijing and India. Sonu Sood's friends from B-Town took to Twitter to congratulate the 'Happy New Year' actor on working with the great action star.

Shah Rukh shared a picture of Sonu and Jackie and called them his two favourite men in the world. He further asked Sonu to arrange a meeting of him with Jackie.

Despite her overwhelming success at the Box Office, Bollywood’s biggest imported success—Katrina Kaif hasn’t had Lady Luck smiling on her romantic life. Mumbai: Salman Khan’s friends continue to address Katrina as ‘Katrina Bhabhi’ despite the two splitting ways, reports say.

The two have moved on in life and have decided to remain friends forever.
With respect to Katrina’s behavior, a common friend stated “She doesn`t invite proximity. But once you are a part of her close circle, she effortlessly draws you close to the goodness of her heart.”
The friend said further, “It is impossible to be angry or sarcastic with Katrina. Forget about being violent. No man would dare to misbehave with her.”
With Katrina’s debut film “Boom” which tanked at the box-office, it was Salman Khan who approached filmmakers to sign Katrina as most directors were reluctant in signing a non-Hindi speaking girl for their film.
A friend added “She knows she has moved to another level in their relationship where they are no more boyfriend-girlfriend. Salman has attained a level of empathy with Katrina that he has never reached in any previous relationship.”

It is a fact that celebrities have bouncers to keep them safe when they are in public. But just imagine what happens if the same guards creates trouble to them!

The news is that Salman’s bodyguards were seen dragging away a female reporter and eventually hurting her after Salman was leaving the venue of muhurat of Smita Thackeray’s film Society. Similarly Katrina’s bodyguard stepped on a journalist’s foot, forcing her to cry out in pain after the actress was leaving the venue of FICCI-FRAMES Conference.

 

The best part is that Salman was seen laughing as he saw the journalist was dragged away by the guards. But Katrina on the other hand expressed her concern to the journalist and even warned her guard to be more careful.
