On the occasion of ‘Udta Punjab’ trailer launch, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor admitted that he is going to become a father.



When asked about reports about his fatherhood, the actor told reporters, “Why are you asking ghuma firake (round about), ask directly.

 Shahid’s former girlfriend Kareena on the stage found his reaction amusing. The two have teamed up after a long time on screen with “Udta Punjab”, but the former couple doesn’t seem to be keen on pairing up against each other.

Shahid Kapoor who was in the news for his recent wedding with meera rajput was startled when the media at the trailer launch of his film Shaandaar, asked about the comparison between Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor. Listen to his reaction.

Here's something more for the stunning Kareena Kapoor to preen over. Kareena has been chosen as the new face of the international cosmetic range of Lakme. The first Bollywood actress to be given this honour.


So far her appointment has only been a matter of speculation. But now we have it from a source very close to Kareena that she is indeed the first Bollywood actress to be thus appointed.


Says the source, "The Indian faces of Lakme have so far been all models. Even Katrina Kaif was a Lakme girl only when she was model. This is the first time that a Bollywood actress has been given this honour in the history of the cosmetic's existence."


According to the source close to Kareena, the formal announcement of Kareena's appointment would be made this weekend.

The long-lasted romantic idyll between Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor has now been riven by work pressure, time constraints, and a few financial issues as well, we hear.


The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that the romance between Saif and Kareena is going dry and the couple has been fighting more often than not. Many reasons are being ascribed to this fizzle-out. For one, it's been speculated that Saif is peeved with Kareena for not sparing enough time for him.


Kareena has lately been busy with a number of projects and her date dairy for this year is chock-a-block. She's been busy with Ra.One with Shahrukh Khan, Bodyguard with Salman Khan and Reema Kagti's untitled film with Aamir Khan. Add to this the number of television commercials she has had to shoot and you can see why Kareena hasn't been able to take out time for her man.


On the other hand, Saif is already unhappy over the delays in his home production Agent Vinod. On top of it, he's been going through a financial crunch and has already axed down the film's budget.


Rumours also suggest that Saif is not happy about having to splurge money on the holidays of Kareena's family.


In fact, reports say that Kareena broke down while having a serious talk with Saif on the phone while she was on the sets of her film Bodyguard. Realizing that the relationship was on the rocks, Kareena dashed off to London not just for her Madame Tussauds wax statue (to be unveiled later this year) but also to appease Saif who's shooting for Agent Vinod in London.

To me both are equal at this point.” Trade sources say Katz's advantage at this point is that she makes a super team with Ranbir Kapoor who is a hot favourite. However, what Kareena has is that she is the darling of the Khans. Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan have given her their unstinted support in 2010. She is likely to team up with the other hottie Imran Khan, too. If Katz has Imtiaz Ali on her side, Bebo has Karan Johar on hers. “Even the endorsements that these two actresses are doing are highly interchangeable. If one has the size zero (Bebo) advantage, the other one has the Barbie Doll (Katz) image in her favour,” says the producer. So give or take — whatever they may say — the distance between Katz and Kareena is too close for comfort.
