Making his first public appearance after tying the knot with Mira Rajput, Shahid Kapoor was in high spirits at the trailer launch of Vikas Bahl's destination wedding romcom, Shaandaar, reports Mumbai Mirror. But every time a question about the shaadi cropped up, his over protective co-star, Alia Bhatt, jumped in saying, "Shahid's shandaar wedding is over, so the only wedding we should talk about is the one happening in my film." She butted in again, when he was asked about the best gift he received, "We were the shandaar gifts," to which Karan Johar quipped, "Yeah, we packed Alia and sent the gift to Shahid's wedding."


Interestingly, Shahid's dad Pankaj Kapur plays Alia's father for reel. Being a method actor, Pankaj, stayed in character throughout the shoot. "He plays Alia's protective father, and spent much of his time with her, with pakodas and sandwiches for company. He would get jealous if I spoke to Alia for even a minute," Shahid chuckled. Alia's a die-hard Kareena Kapoor fan and comparisons are being drawn between the two. Shahid insisted that this is a big compliment for Alia, since, Kareena is an established actress and has a great body of work. "But I don't find any similarity between the two apart from the fact that both are originals. And I did a love story with Kareena, Jab We Met, and now I'm doing one with Alia," he concluded.

Kareena Kapoor has been confirmed to work opposite Emraan Hashmi and Imran Khan in two new films.
The Bollywood actress reunites with Ek Tu Aur Ekk Main co-star Imran Khan in Punit Malhotra's latest release.

"Good News! Dharma Movies' next, directed by Punit Malhotra, starring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor is called Gori Tere Pyaar Mein," the production house confirmed this week.

Malhotra's follow-up to I Hate Luv Storys is expected to feature music by Vishal-Shekhar.
Kapoor has also been finalised to feature in Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor's first co-production opposite Emraan Hashmi. The romantic drama will begin filming in September. 

"Proud to share that the Dharma and Balaji Motion Pictures joint venture stars Emraan Hashmi and Kareena Kapoor on floors in September 2013," tweeted Girish Johar from Balaji Motion Pictures.

In the first official confirmation from the family, Bollywood Star Saif Ali Khan‘s mother, Sharmila Tagore has confirmed her son’s marriage to Bollywood Actress Kareena Kapoor on October 16. “Yes, that’s the date we have decided upon. There will be a reception, too, but not a very big one.” The wedding ceremony, said close sources, will be a quiet affair, too.

Sources close to Tagore said that Kapoor, like her would be mother-in-law, will continue acting in films. “Sharmila’s best innings as an actress started after marriage. Saif Ali Khan was a baby on the sets of one of her best films, ‘Aradhana’. Kareena will follow in her footsteps. After marriage, she will do two films a year. Right after she completes Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’, she’ll begin shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’,” said the source.
In fact, Kapoor has assured a very worried Bhansali that she will not take a break for her wedding. The wedding, which will be held at the Pataudis’ ancestral home, will only be attended by immediate family members of the couple.
Says the source, “Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi died only recently, so the family wanted a low-key wedding.Kareena and her family agreed, too. However, there may be a large reception bash after the wedding, considering both Saif and Kareena have many friends in the film industry.”
The venue for the wedding reception is still undecided. It may be held in Mumbai on the wedding day itself.
Says the source, “The honeymoon, however, will have to wait. Kareena Kapoor has no intentions of letting her films suffer after marriage.”
