Ah, school times are packed with embarrassing scenes be it the first crush you wished to woo or the time once you had body image problems. Yeah, PeeCee could be an enormous celebrity now but these young woes didn’t spare the actress too! thus last night in an interview with Kelly and Michael on their show, Priyanka appeared to have reminisced those school days. Well, additional like she was forced to recollect those awkward times once everything regarding oneself was awkward.





So Kelly and Michael somehow managed to hunt down this picture of the diva when she was in ninth grade all set for Prom night. Now, Prom is supposed to be quite a big deal because it’s the first time you actually go out with a guy and dance away your fears since you’re happy that you’re with the person you like. Ah, teenage dreams! And Priyanka too had her moment of Prom but she seemed super embarrassed by the picture that the duo picked out of hers. This obviously resulted in her spilling the beans on what happened on her Prom Night. Turns out Priyanka had a thing for her junior and since another guy asked her out for Prom, she said yes with a view that she could meet her crush on the Prom! Aww man! Looks like PeeCee was a meanie! But then again, at that age, we all were quite unsure in our heads when we were 14 years old.

Quantico star Priyanka Chopra is in talks to join Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in Baywatch, Paramount’s big-screen take on the 1990s television series about California lifeguards.

Seth Gordon is directing the feature, which is paddling toward a shoot with Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach also suiting up.

Paramount’s movie centers on the leader of an elite group of lifeguards (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a young, hotshot former Olympian (Efron) to save their beloved bay.

Baywatch would be Chopra’s English-language feature debut. The actress had her Hollywood breakthrough by nabbing the lead in ABC's Quantico, which follows an FBI recruit suspected of being a terrorist agent.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali knows the art of film-making too well. Trailer of his latest magnum opus was released two days ago and it has already created a havoc on the social media because the trailer looks absolutely brilliant! Deepika and Ranveer had an experience of working with SLB in Goliyon ke Raasleela Ramleela, Priyanka Chopra confessed how she felt little out of place when she started shooting for Bajirao Mastani.

It was Ranveer Singh who spilled the beans on at the Trailer launch. Ranveer confessed that Priyanka was so exhausted by the third day itself that she was on the verge of opting out of the film.



Ranveer quoted Priyanka and said,

A major film release…a major film’s trailer release…a few high-profile Diwali bashes…the Diwali week pretty much kept Bollywood from being dull and boring!

While Salman Khan had his second release of the year this week, his good friend Shah Rukh Khan released the trailer of his much awaited and solo film of the year. Then there were Diwali parties and Bajirao Mastani also squeezed in to get its share of attention. Let’s look at the top 5 news-makers of the week!

Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale posters clash…again!
This Sunday, the makers of Bajirao Mastani released Priyanka Chopra’s Kashibai poster (drool!) and Deepika Padukone’s Mastani poster (OMG!) within a few hours. Since Priyanka wasn’t in the country, as she was shooting in Canada, Kashibai poster was released online but the Mastani poster was launched in a grand way. However, with a few minutes of the unveiling of the Mastani look, the makers of Dilwale released the first look of their lead cast – Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon – in a single poster, without any sort of intimidation. This, kids, is what we call us stealing someone’s attention!

Unlike the previous section, this was one rivalry that made everyone go Awwww! Salman Khan and his PRDP costars, including Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nithin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal, did a Dubsmash of Shah Rukh Khan’s DDLJ track. After that, the Dilwale team, including SRK, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Rohit Shetty, reciprocated the deed by doing a Dubsmash of PRDP’s title track. Seeing the growing camaraderie between SRK and Salman Khan, we can almost imagine Rakhee Gulzar popping up and say , ‘Mere Karan Arjun aa gaye!’


Dilwale trailer launched
The much anticipated Dilwale trailer was finally launched in a grand way by Shah Rukh Khan and his team, and as expected, it was a typical Rohit Shetty film with romance, comedy, action, high production values and more cars being blown. The only thing that now makes it unique is the SRK-Kajol pairing in the film, that comes of as the USP of the film.



The Diwali bash and the great reunion
The Bachchans held a big Diwali bash at their house, with Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing the perfect hosts. Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Preity Zinta, Vikas Bahl, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Anil Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia etc. being the part of the guest roster. Then there was Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor’s party, where Salman Khan almost bumped into Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor!

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo gets a HUGE release



This Diwali week as purely reserved for Salman Khan’s goody-goody act in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The film is directed by Sooraj Barjatya and also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal, Armaan Kohli and Neil Nitin Mukesh. As expected, the movie got an astounding start at the box office, but also received middling reviews instead. Still, the film will ride high on Salman Khan’s star-power. After all, when has his fans bothered with the opinions of the elite few?

All I knew about Bajirao Mastani‘s plot was that it was about the love story between Peshwa Bajirao I and Mastani, about whom one folklore say is a courtesan while other say is a warrior princess. Then there is the third angle of Kashibai, who happens to be Bajirao’s loyal wife!

While Ranveer Singh plays Bajirao and Deepika Padukone plays Kashibai, Priyanka Chopra will taking on the role of the neglected spouse, Kashibai. Though I am yet to see how Sanjay Leela Bhansali has presented this love triangle (majestic, it will be, that’s for sure…but we will have to wait till December 18 to find out!), I can’t help but feel a bit of resentment for Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao!

Sorry Ranveer fans, but it has nothing to do with the actor. It’s more to do with character. I mean, how can he leave such an angelic face and go for Mastani, no matter how beautiful she might be!

No idea what I am talking about? Well, let me clear it for you. After revealing, Ranveer Singh’s look as Bajirao, the makers of Bajirao Mastani have released Priyanka Chopra’s look in the film, and Dear Lord, she looks absolutely beautiful! It’s hard not to fall in love with that angelic smile, as Priyanka looks absolutely stunning in that nauvari sari! With diyas in her hand, it really feels like Diwali has come four days earlier for her fans.

She has certainly raised the bar for Deepika Padukone, as Mastani poster should be terrific enough pop our eyes out, or we will still be thinking what made Bajirao leave Kashibai to go for Mastani!

Whether you see these once, or ‘hazaar baar’, they will shock you every single time because of their creepily similar faces!

Debuting on ABC tonight is a captivating drama that follows the new class of FBI recruits. The first hour of Quantico is packed with so many puzzles that it’s hard to tear your eyes away from the screen. But  the best and most refreshing parts of this program are the strong female leads at the center.



Quantico not only highlights a handful of diverse women, but gives them more than just love interests to drive the plot. They’re forceful, have storylines that propel their narrative and dialog that doesn’t shy away from the double standards and hardships women face in reality.

Alex Parish (played by Priyanka Chopra) is at the middle of an investigation into a deadly explosion in New York City. Through flashbacks, she attempts to help authorities determine which classmate was the one behind the attack, only later getting wrongfully pegged for the crime. The premiere closes as Parish becomes aware that she must find the real perpetrator in order to save herself.

Parish and three other female characters quickly fall into standard story lines given to their gender (the boss, the petite blonde and the lead who starts with a bang full of boy drama). Just as swiftly as these clichés are introduced, the plot pivots into feminism.


Within the first ten minutes, Parish has casual sex with a stranger in his car. But when she finds out Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin) is also a recruit at the FBI academy, it feels reminiscent of Grey’s Anatomy when the female lead discovers in the pilot that her one-night stand is her boss. Instead of freezing and running, Quantico takes a new approach.
