We were among the first to break the news about the engagement of Esha Deol to her boyfriend, Bharat Takhtani, in February. Now, it has been confirmed that the eldest of Hema Malini's two daughters, Esha, will be marrying her fiancée in June.
This has been confirmed by a rather ravishing-looking Hema Malini, herself. A June wedding essentially means monsoons having arrived across the subcontinent. However, Hema Ji was quick to point out that the monsoons are perhaps a perfect backdrop for her daughter’s wedding. She was optimistic, saying that it would be wonderful to have the rain Gods blessing the newly-married couple.
Hema Ji further told reporters that the wedding ceremony wouldn’t be hosted at her lavish bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai. She opined that her home wasn’t big enough to host a wedding that is likely to have the glitterati of Bollywood in full attendance. Hema Ji further confirmed that Bharat is already a part of the family and gets along rather well with Dharam Ji.
However, there is some speculation about the date, with some industry insiders suggesting that the tentative date was earlier July 29. In all probability, Hema Ji will re-confirm the date. She seems to be rather careful about choosing the most auspicious date.
