Suraj Sent Abusive Texts To Jiah Before She Committed Suicide

Investigations into the alleged suicide of actor Jiah Khan have revealed that just an hour prior to taking the drastic step, she had a tiff with her boyfriend, accused Suraj Pancholi which he described as over a mere "misunderstanding."

The CBI filed a charsgeheet against the Bollywood actor this week and accused him of abetting her suicide. The CBI said on June 3, 2013, Suraj sent a bouquet to Jiah as she had bagged two films and an item song. He then went on to have dinner with a friend at a suburban five star. It further said that at 10.04 pm, he called Jiah and said he was at the hotel and waiting for a jewellery designer. However, when Jiah called the woman to confirm this, the latter told her she was to meet Suraj the following morning."Immediately Jia called Suraj and accused him of lying," the CBI said in the chargesheet. Suraj then called up the jewellery designer to confirm her arrival that night but she told him their appointment was for the following morning.

Jiah Khan

The investigating agency said Suraj then requested her to call up Jiah and clear the misunderstanding. However, her calls to Jiah were met with a busy tone. Jiah's repeated attempts to call Suraj and message him were not answered until he called her at 10.22 pm. Following this, Jiah made her way to Suraj's house and called his domestic help as Suraj's phone was switched off.

At Suraj's behest, the help lied to Jiah and said he was in a meeting with his father Aditya Pancholi. But when the help saw Jiah standing outside, he informed Suraj. By the time Suraj sent someone out to fetch her, Jiah had left. Suraj then sent her a message to call him, which Jiah did at 10.45 pm. The heated conversation, the CBI said, was heard by Suraj's help and another person present in his house.
CCTV footage showed Jiah returned home at 10.48 pm. Suraj once again called her at 10.54 pm and this was the last conversation between the couple. Following this, ten messages sent by Suraj to Jiah between 10.56 pm and 11.21 pm went unanswered. At 11.20 pm, when Jiah's mother returned home from a party, she found her hanging from the bedroom ceiling fan.

The chargesheet also describes in detail the abortion procedure Jiah underwent when she was four weeks pregnant in January 2013. In his statement the doctor who prescribed the pills to her said that two days after consuming the pills, he received a call from Suraj stating that "half of the stuff "(foetus) was still stuck inside Jiah. The doctor advised him to take her to the hospital. However, Suraj called him again and said he had helped her pull out the "remaining stuff." The CBI said Jiah had mentioned the abortion in her note in which she said, "I was scared of getting pregnant but I gave you myself completely . The pain you have caused me everyday has destroyed every bit of me. Destroyed my soul and I aborted our baby when it hurt me deeply ."

This is the second chargesheet in the case. In January 2014, Mumbai police investigating the case filed a 447-page chargesheet. In July 2014, the HC transferred the probe to CBI on a petition filed by Jiah's mother, Rabia, who blamed police for a shoddy probe and claimed Jiah may have been murdered. But CBI too ruled it was suicide. The CBI investigations also revealed the note written by Jiah established that Suraj ruined her life. Referring to the relationship the couple shared, the investigating agency pointed out that Jiah used to clean the rooms in Suraj's flat, iron his clothes and keep them in the cupboard. On Friday Suraj made his appearance in court and was handed a copy of the chargesheet. The matter will come up for hearing on January 18 after which the court is likely to frame charges against him. Special judge A S Shende came down on the CBI for leaking information from the chargesheet even before the court had taken cognisance of it. "I read the details of the chargesheet in the newspapers. How can this happen? Please be careful. How can it come out in the media when the verification process was on in the court", the judge asked. The court also remarked to all that a media trial should be refrained from being conducted in the case.

The makers of the famous adult franchise have pushed all limits as far as a sex comedy goes with its third iteration. And it's set to open doors for a completely new genre in Bollywood as India's first "porn com". The franchise had earlier flag off the trend of adult comedies and the hit 'double meaning' formula too. But going by the current over-active Censor Board, we just wonder how well this film will go down with it. And its trailer will release on 40 porn sites!

And just to add to your curiosity, two sex comedies will be releasing within a week of each other for the first time in Bollywood. Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 will clash with Sunny Leone's Mastizaade. More so, Tusshar is a part of this one as well! We are still trying to recall the last time two back-to-back adult comedies featuring the same actor released at the box office. It also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Vir Das.

Bollywood Movies We Cannot Wait To Watch In 2016

It's almost a wrap for 2015, and we can't help but look back at what a great year it has been for Bollywood. From commercial hits like Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Dil Dhadakne Do, to intense and artsy films like Badlapur, Piku, and the more recent Tamasha, 2015 has witnessed some never-seen-before kind of flicks. But if you think it was great, well, 2016 is just about to get better. Check out these Bollywood films coming your way in 2016, guaranteed to get you very, very excited!

1. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
There are a lot of things going for this flick. First of all, it's got an amazing star cast. Ranbir Kapoor teams up with Aishwarya Rai for the first time ever, which should be quite interesting to see. But if that wasn't enough, even Fawad Khan and Anushka Sharma are in on it. Also, Karan Johar returns to directing after three years, following Student Of The Year in 2012.

2. Fan
This Shahrukh Khan film has already created quite a lot of buzz around. Why? Simply because the movie has got a very novel plot. SRK plays his own fan in the movie. Sounds twisted, right? But that's what the movie is about. In fact, people have been going gaga over Shahrukh's look in this one, considering he looks like a different person entirely with the help of prosthetics.

3. Befikre
This film definitely sounds like a big deal, as Aditya Chopra returns to film direction after seven long years! His last directorial venture was Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008. Vani Kapoor, who last starred in Shuddh Desi Romance has been finalised as the female lead, and she couldn't be more happy. Starring Ranveer as well, let's see if Chopra can recreate the magic with this one!

4. Dishoom
This one has quite an interesting star cast - Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and John Abraham. Directed by Varun's brother Rohit Dhawan, the film is said to have a ton of high octane bike stunts, for which bikes have been imported from Germany and London! Considering both John and Varun are bike lovers, looks like this film's going to be a full-on Hindi-pichar style entertainer.

5. Wazir
Looks like we have a good quality thriller coming our way in the form of Wazir. Starring Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan, one thing is for sure, we're going to see some amazing acting talent in this one. The trailer for the movie is already out, and it promises to keep you on the edge of your seat!

6. Raees
Another movie that looks like a total treat for all Shahrukh Khan fans. Those who have seen the teaser would agree that the movie looks really interesting. Set in 1980s Gujarat, SRK plays a bootlegger in the film who is on the radar of a sharp cop played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan makes her Bollywood debut with this one.

7. Sultan
Don't worry, 2016 has lots for Sallu Bhai fans as well, and it's going to be pretty grand! Salman Khan is collaborating with Yash Raj Films with this one, and he plays a professional wrestler. Although rumours suggested Sanjay Dutt might play his coach, eventually Randeep Hooda has been cast to play the coach's role. Buzz is that Salman Khan has been taking extensive wrestling training for this film.

8. Dangal
The next Khan on the list, 2016 has lots in store of Aamir Khan fans as well! His sports biopic, Dangal, is all set to release in 2016. He plays wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat in wrestling in real life. TV actress Sakshi Tanwar plays Khan's wife in this one, which of course, is her big break.

9. Mohenjo Daro
This one is Ashutosh Gowarikar's ambitious project, and it stars Hrithik Roshan and South Indian actress Pooja Hegde. Of course, as the name suggests, the film has been set in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation that dates back to 2600 BC. With a huge ensemble cast, gigantic budget, and music by AR Rahman, this is one of those huge movies of 2016!

10. Mirziya
So what do we have here?! Sonam Kapoor's hunk of a brother, Harshvardhan Kapoor debuts with this one, directed by Rakeysh Omorakash Mehra. It's a contemporary take on the tragic Mirza-Sahiba love story, and also stars Saiyami Kher as the female lead. It'll be interesting to see how the youngest of the Kapoor family turns out.

11. Jai Gangaajal
Prakash Jha is coming up with a sequel to Gangaajal in 2016, and unlike the first one that starred Ajay Devgn, this time it has Priyanka Chopra playing a cop in the lead. According to Jha, it's the tale of a police-society relationship.

12. Ki And Ka
R. Balki's contemporary story of a stay-at-home husband and a working woman will surely touch the lives of the urban Indians. This is the first time Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor have been paired together, and they look really good! The film explores gender roles in today's urban society. That surely seems to be a novel theme, right?

13. Fitoor
This movie has created quite a lot of buzz, sometimes for good reasons, and sometimes, well, for not such good reasons! Directed by Abhishek Kapoor of Rock On fame, the film stars Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor. It's supposed to be based on Charles Dicken's novel, Great Expectations. Rekha was supposed to be essaying a prominent role in the movie, which she even shot for. But unfortunately, she decided to quit the film mid way, and Tabu was brought on board to replace her.

14. Jagga Jasoos
It's been a while for this movie, that's been getting delayed for all sorts of reasons. It was supposed to release in November 2015, but looks like this will eventually see the light of day in 2016. Directed by Anurag Basu, there have been a lot of rumours around the film, including that the film has been shelved altogether, and that Katrina and Anurag Basu have a lot of creative differences. After getting through so many hurdles, let's see how the movie fares with the audience.

15. Chalk And Duster
Chalk And Duster tells the tale of two school teachers, played by Juhi Chawla and Shabana Azmi, who share a genuine love for teaching and imparting knowledge to their students. They both are pretty happy in their jobs until their school's principal is changed to someone who makes life tough for them! The film explores the relationship between teachers and students in today's changing times, and it looks like it should be an interesting watch.

16. Ghayal Once Again
All Sunny Paaji fans in the house, put your hands up! After a good 25 years, Sunny Deol is starring in 1990 film Ghayal's sequel, and people are pretty excited about it. Earlier, the film was supposed to release in November 2015, but exceeded its deadline. Now it's all set to release in 2016. Of course, as expected, the movie is going to be an out and out action flick.

17. Kapoor And Sons
Another Dharma production flick all set to hit the screens in 2016, Kapoor And Sons has a stellar star cast - Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, and Rishi Kapoor. Most probably Sanjay Dutt too will return to Bollywood in this as well. Apparently Sidharth and Fawad play brothers in this film.

18. Baaghi
Tiger Shroff is teaming up with the petite Shraddha Kapoor for his second film,Baaghi. It's touted as a romantic-action flick, where Tiger Shroff's character will go to great lengths to fight for his love. If soppy romance is your thing, then this would definitely interest you.

19. Housefull 3
Sajid Nadiadwala is back with the third installment of the Housefull series, and just like always, we're expecting a laugh riot with this one, although there's been slight change in the star cast, since the last movie. As of now, there's Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Lisa Hayden. Phew!

20. Baar Baar Dekho
Starring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra together for the first time, the movie is somewhat based on time travel. Well, we'd certainly like to see that happening in a Bollywood film. This is also the first time that Karan Johar's Dharma Production is collaborating with Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment. It will be quite interesting to see what Sidharth's pairing with Katrina Kaif looks like on the big screen.

21. Rangoon
Well, you can't help but be excited for this one. This the first time that Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor are starring together in a film, you know, given their equation with Kareena Kapoor. Apart from that, what also works for the movie is the fact that it's a period romantic drama flick, set during World War II. Buzz is also doing the rounds that Shahid has an intense lovemaking scene with Kangana Ranaut in the movie!

22. Udta Punjab
This movie has a lot going for it. First of all, this is the first time Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are working together in a movie since their break up, even though they are not paired opposite each other. Punjabi cinema's superstar Diljit Dosanjh marks his Bollywood debut with this one, and it stars Alia Bhatt as well. The film explores the theme of increasing drug abuse by the youth in the state of Punjab.

23. Sarabjit
Based on the true story of an Indian farmer, Sarabjit, who was convicted of espionage and terrorism in Pakistan and sentenced to death, this film will tell his true tale. While Randeep Hooda plays Sarabjit, Aishwarya Rai will play his sister, who fights a long battle for his freedom. It's being directed by Mary Kom director Omung Kumar, and seems to be a must watch kind of flick!

24. Rock On 2
All the music lovers out there, Rock On 2 will hit screens in 2016. While the old cast will reprise their roles sans Luke Kenny, Arjun Rampal and Shraddha Kapoor are the latest addition to the film's cast. The musical drama flick looks really promising and the shooting has been going on full swing in Shillong.

25. Azhar
Looks like 2016 is going to be the year of biopics! As the name suggests, this one is based on the controversial life of ex Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin. He was embroiled in a match fixing scandal in 2000, and was banned for life by BCCI. Emraan Hashmi plays the lead role in the movie, while Nargis Fakhri plays Azharuddin's (now ex) wife Sangeeta Bijlani.

26. M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story
Another biopic based on a cricket legend, this one tells the tale of current Indian cricket team's captain, MS Dhoni. While Sushant Singh Rajput plays the main lead, Kiara Advani plays the role of his wife Sakshi Dhoni. This movie has seen a lot of hurdles already, since it has been delayed a number of times. But the shooting has been going on in full swing now, and it's sure to release in 2016.

27. Neerja
One more biopic! But this time it's on a real-life hero, rather than a sports legend. Sonam Kapoor plays the role of Neerja Bhanot, the brave-heart who lost her life in a plane hijack incident in 1986, and yet saved the lives of hundreds of passengers. She was also the youngest recipient of the Ashok Chakra. Those who have seen the film's recently released trailer will vouch for the fact that this looks gripping and terrifying at the same time.

28. Haraamkhor
Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi, Haraamkhor is based on real life events. A school teacher falls in love with his teenage student and has an illicit relationship with her. The film was apparently shot within 16 days and has already won accolades in international film festivals. It'll be released in India in 2016.

29. Airlift
Starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur, Airlift is also based on real life events. It draws its inspiration from the biggest evacuation of Indians in Kuwait in 1990. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Ranjit Katyal, powerful Indian businessman who, along with the help of the Indian government, carried out the rescue operation.

Deepika: I can be so naked in front of Ranveer

It is different when you reach the deep end of Deepika. She is natural, free-flowing, yet striking her diva-esque flair at all times. With soul unveiled and emotions exhaled. No hint or trace of competitiveness, calculation or compare. Just a young woman - vulnerable, venerated and well ... loved and desired too.

Even eloquent and 'zen-like' when posed with questions that push borders. She feels no rivalry in real-life, but for her upcoming epic film Bajirao Mastani, she bloodies her soul and goes to war for love. This is Deepika Padukone. To the world- a star, a diva. At core, a woman - an actress peddling her wares and her immense talent.

Two men on set - one (Bhansali) with a penchant for perfection, the other (Ranveer) with excessive energy. How did you keep pace?

I don't try to keep up with anyone else. I am clear about my energy and understanding with my director. Ranveer and I are so different, and Sanjay sir (Bhansali) and Ranveer are so different. The best thing is that our energies come together, and we all find our own rhythm. We have done Ram Leela together, which felt like the toughest film of my life. After doing Bajirao Mastani, I think that was a breeze. To tell you the truth, Bhansali has hardly directed me in this film. We have a different sort of connection; we don't need to speak much. He looks at me, I look at him and it is understood. He rarely had to talk me through anything in this film.

But isn't he extremely demanding as a director? You broke down while filming a scene.

I haven't met anyone who is so consumed and intoxicated by cinema as Bhansali. He has a beautiful mind, he is poetic, sensual, sexy and borderline raunchy - all in a magical way. He admits that he has no life beyond movies. His only other life is his mom, sister, dog and all of two friends. For him, there is no chalta hai attitude, or upar se kar lo option. I cried while shooting the Kathak dance sequence, because I was pushed to the corner and I didn't know how to crack it. As an actor he makes me feel fearless.

Ranveer prepped for the role without an iota of distraction, while you were juggling between other films. Are you a turn-on, turn-off kind of actress?

For me, the process is more internal than external. I didn't put myself through the process of shutting off, maybe it would have been ideal, but I was tempted by other films I was doing simultaneously. I guess women are better at multitasking. Also with Bhansali, you can rehearse as much, but it is pointless. God forbid, if you end up doing what you rehearsed the previous day, he will sit behind the camera eating chana and look bored. He will wait for you to blow his mind away. It doesn't matter how we do it, we have to figure it out and show it to him.

It was interesting to see Ranbir and Ranveer promote each other's films, however subtly. The industry isn't as aggressively competitive, as we believe it is?

I have always said this - actors are not as competitive as it appears, it is just the way it is projected and interpreted. Even all the negativity that reportedly exists between actors is often exaggerated.

Have you faced negativity?

Yes, I have. I don't encourage it and don't let it figure into my scheme of things.

Are you competitive?

Of course, I am competitive, but not in a rivalry sort of way. I want my last film to compete with my next. I watch other actors' works, but I don't follow them. I don't know who is doing which film and whose release is coming up next.

Is it because you are in a good, secure space now - all the way at the top?

Honestly, I don't know where I am and I don't allow myself to be aware of it. Everyone around me tries to make me aware and conscious of it. I know when I say this people often think I am being fake or politically correct or too poised. The fact is that my goals, dreams and ambition is beyond all this. Even Ranveer wonders how I can be so Zen-like all the time. I don't know any other way to be.

While shooting the 'Pinga' song, where Priyanka and you share screen space, didn't you even for a moment want to outdo her?

Our screen characters had to be a certain way, but I never felt that we had to carry that energy off set. In fact, Sanjay sir was troubled by the fact that Priyanka and I didn't have a showdown or a catfight. He wished we didn't get along and he would actually sulk because we were bonding between shots. In his animated style he would tell us, 'It feels like you girls are doing fugdi before coming out of the van. This is not what I want!' We told him we will create it for him when the camera rolls, but too bad we didn't feel that way in reality.

Your chemistry with Ranbir and Ranveer seems to be the talking point of your movies and promotions. Does it irk you?

People thought Irrfan and I shared great chemistry in Piku, but no one asked awkward questions then. They didn't ask him who I made a hotter pair with. In the case of Ranveer and Ranbir, they are always posed with the similar question - who looks hotter with me?! It feels awkward. There is no need to compare, and one does not have to be better than the other. Besides, it is not that complicated. If, at some point, I reverse the kind of films I do with both of them (like a sweet romance with Ranveer and a sensual, passionate film with Ranbir) - then probably a comparison makes sense.

Are you a romantic at heart?

Absolutely! I am extremely romantic. I like the typical candle-light dinners, flowers and all that attention, but that's a small part of it. If all that comes because of the man's personality, it is good. But if it is not genuine and he is doing it to just impress me, I will know it right away. In love, once you cut all the bulls**t, the real thing starts and that is the difficult part.

Would you ever let your career take a back seat for love and marriage?

For me, giving up my career is not an option for family life. I want both and I will have both. I have always wondered why women have to choose between family and career. Men are never asked to give up one for the other.

Ranveer says he feels a divine connection with you. What do you feel?

He is my best friend (and this is not to be taken lightly). I am emotional, sensitive and vulnerable and I hurt easily. I can be so naked in front of Ranveer... and I know he will never hurt me or take me for granted. That is the kind of trust and understanding we have. The reason I love and respect him is that I can bare my soul and still feel comfortable. If this is divine connection - this is what it is!

It seems your first Hollywood film is on the verge of taking off? The picture of you with XXX star Vin Diesel set off an alarm in Bollywood.

(Flashes a big smile, with a hint of undeniable pride) The world will know, soon!

Sad but true, Sooraj Pancholi extricated Jiah Khan's unborn baby and disposed it off.

Sooraj Pancholi and Jiah Khan

Mother of actress Jiah Khan, who was found dead in her apartment in 2013, is fighting hard to bring justice to her daughter. We had recently reported that CBI has filed a charge sheet over the same. The Bombay High Court had asked CBI to probe into this case after Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan presented the medical reports carried out privately by her. There were some differences in the medical reports presented by Police and the one presented by Rabia Khan. Therefore, the court asked CBI to investigate this case.

According to the charge sheet filed by the CBI, Sooraj Pancholi, who is the accused, in this case, apparently extricated Jiah Khan’s foetus which left an emotional scar on the Nishabd actress. A sources gave intricate details of the same and said, “After taking the medicine, Khan started haemorrhaging and called Pancholi for help. She was in pain and needed immediate medical attention but Pancholi allegedly asked her to wait and called up the gynaecologist for guidance. He was asked to rush Khan to the hospital as the foetus had probably aborted but had not been expelled from the body, which is probably what led to the hemorrhaging.” Further, the reports suggest that Sooraj feared that his relationship with Jiah would become public if Jiah was hospitalised. This would hamper his Bollywood career which was yet to begin. Therefore, Sooraj himself extricated the foetus and disposed of it in the toilet, said the reports.

This narration of Jiah Khan’s has been done in a graphic manner in the charge sheet and CBI has also presented the statement of the doctors who are among the 11 new witnesses, investigated by the CBI.

CBI claims that the actress couldn’t manage the emotional torture and was under depression leading her to commit suicide. Sooraj Pancholi was the reason behind this emotional downfall of the actress. Reports say that a case under Section 306 of IPC has been made against a Private person. Abetment to suicide is defined under Section 306 of IPC. Sooraj Pancholi is likely to be that Private Person.
